POSSIBLE, NOT CONFIRMED (2026): a probate notice in The London Gazette of 15 December 1939 (issue 34754, p. 8362) names a “Lionel Sydney William Cranfield” of 4 Broad Street Place, City of London, acting as attorney for the executors of an estate. The initials match exactly and the combination is an uncommon one, which would give a full name for the L.S.W. Cranfield recorded here.
