Both are the same service number, 4467903, which this card holds among its Rhodesian forms (SR597897 / CR1067 / 4467903) and which the Gaitskil entry held on its own. The two were merged in August 2026, keeping this entry, which carries his photograph, his patrol and his Mention in Despatches. THEY DISAGREED ON HIS RANK: this card gives SIGNALMAN, from Brendan O’Carroll’s Rhodesia Nominal Roll, and the discarded entry gave SERGEANT with no source stated. The sourced rank has been kept and the other is recorded here rather than thrown away.
