Checked (2026): The Auckland War Memorial Museum Online Cenotaph holds one Gurdon, a Samuel Gurdon of the First World War. He was a British officer of the Royal Horse Guards who flew with the Group, so the Cenotaph would have no reason to hold him. Recorded so the search is not repeated.
