A NOTE ON THE HONOURS. This card’s honours field reads “MC, MID, MM”. O’Carroll gives him as “Maj. A. D. N. Hunter, MC” — the Military Cross alone — and the Military Medal traces to Kennedy Shaw’s honours list rather than to any citation. A search of the Auckland Museum’s Online Cenotaph for 58117 returns no record, which is what would be expected for a British officer and means that source cannot help either way. The honours field has been left exactly as it stands; this note records the state of the evidence rather than resolving it. Source: The London Gazette.
