The forename on this card read “J.H. (Francis ?)”. Somebody had recorded a suggestion, with a query mark, inside the name field itself, where it was showing publicly. The field now holds the initials the roll gives. THE SUGGESTION IS KEPT HERE RATHER THAN LOST: this man may have been named Francis, but that is unconfirmed and no source for it is recorded.

Sting of the Scorpion (Brendan O'Carroll) — the assault on Levita: Levita, 23–24 Oct 1943: Lieut F. Kay of B Squadron pressed on with Capt Olivey to the meteorological-station HQ. (This roll entry — 'J.H. (Francis?)' — is very likely the F. Kay of the Levita account; to confirm.)
