CHECKED AGAINST THE COMMONWEALTH WAR GRAVES COMMISSION, 25 August 2026: NO CASUALTY RECORD, AND HE IS NOT THERE. The search was made on the surname WITH the forename Nadir, and returned no results at all. THAT QUALIFICATION MATTERS AND IS THE WHOLE POINT: Khan is one of the commonest surnames in the Commission’s records, and a match on the surname alone would be worth nothing. No such match has been accepted here. The Commission records the dead, so his absence from it is evidence that he came home. THE “A/” PREFIX REMAINS UNEXPLAINED, for the same reason as Landman’s N/.
