The roll formerly carried this man a THIRD time, as “McNabola, P.J.” — the same service number, 2659209, and the same rank of Guardsman. This card already recorded that it consolidated two earlier entries; the third survived that consolidation and has now been merged in as well. Brendan O’Carroll spells the name McNabola in his Aegean roll and this roll spells it McNobola, so both forms are recorded here and neither is asserted over the other.

Data note (2026): this record consolidates two roll entries for the same man (service no. 2659209) — ‘McNobola, Paddy J.’ (this entry, the better-sourced record) and ‘MacNabola’ (the LRDG Preservation Society’s Troopers roll, cross-referenced ‘See McNabola’; G1 Patrol) — merged August 2026. Spelling kept as ‘McNobola’ per Tony; also recorded as ‘MacNabola’ / ‘McNabola’.
