CONFIRMED IN THE GAZETTE, EXACTLY AS THIS CARD HAD IT (2026). “Gerald Anthony MADDEN (284367). Peter Algernon MOLD (284368). Nicholas Ian MCCLARY (284369).” He was commissioned in August 1943. THERE IS NO CORRECTION HERE, AND THAT IS THE POINT OF THE NOTE: his full forenames and his service number both match the Gazette exactly, so the roll’s entry for him is sound.
