Full name Andrew Russell Wilder. Born 27 January 1916 at Wallingford. Farmer in civilian life. Embarked/served with 2nd Division Cavalry. Wounded 17 Dec 1942. A Divisional Cavalry officer (later Major) who won the Military Cross and Bar for gallantry in the Western Desert (Alam Halfa); of Wallingford, Waipukurau.
