CWGC: Private Reginald Riggs, service no. RH/6296787, 1st Bn The Buffs (Royal East Kent Regiment) and Long Range Desert Group. Buried at Benghazi War Cemetery, joint grave 8.B.28-29, Libya. Note: CWGC records his date of death as 22 December 1941, which differs from the roll's 21 September 1941 (killed by RAF friendly fire, per 'Special Forces in the Desert War 1940-43', p.118). Patrol S (S1/S2) INFERRED from Rhodesian/South African service number (SR/RH prefix) - the LRDG Rhodesian & S.African squadron formed S Patrol. Specific S1/S2 not individually confirmed.
