A NOTE ON THIS MAN’S NUMBER (2026). 2695343 also appeared on the card of Robinson, J.E.T., a Rhodesian of S Patrol, where it had been imported from the Rhodesia Nominal Roll as an additional number. It has been removed from that card. The number is this man’s: it sits nine from Findlay #2695334, who is also G1, also a Guardsman on the nominal roll of 28 December 1940 – January 1941, and also on the Murzuk Raid.
This card formerly carried a wartime nickname in the AKA field. It was a racial epithet in common use at the time and is not one now, and it has been withdrawn from the card by the roll’s compiler in August 2026. The word itself is recorded in the research files so that the fact of it is not lost.
