What this roll records
The English (RAMC) member of T2 patrol cut off when the road-watch camp near Sedada was overrun (22 December 1942); walked for days with little food or water to reach the British lines. London Gazette, 20 July 1943, Issue 36102, page 3317, under “The Military Medal.”: “No. 7362709 Private Edward Charles Sturrock, Royal Army Medical Corps.” It gives his forenames in full and confirms the R.A.M.C. already on this card.
