What this roll records

This card carried two working marks that were showing publicly: the forename field read “(unknown first name)” and the service number field read “#?”. Both have been cleared, and the position stated here instead: NEITHER HIS FORENAME NOR HIS SERVICE NUMBER IS KNOWN. What the roll does hold for him is a photograph and his corps, the Royal Army Medical Corps. Anything further would be welcome.
